Obama, AIPAC And The Rest of US

By Gilad Atzmon

AIPAC

Yesterday at AIPAC annual conference, the American president had to go out of his way to appease his Jewish crowd. He used every trick in the book, he even peppered his talk with some Yiddish sporadic words and he did it all just to justify his decision not to launch a World War as yet.

One should ask, how come a lobby of a small state that practices the most appalling racist expansionist politics and practices has managed to gain so much political power in the USA.

As it happens, more and more academics and political commentators indeed ask themselves the exact question – they wonder what is it in American culture and political system that allowed it to happen? I am also interested in a very similar quest. I actually try to identify the different elements within Jewish culture and identity politics that have led to the rise of AIAPC into the dominant force within American politics and foreign policy.

The Man and his Saxophone take on Whoish Lobby Identity Politics

… by Jim W. Dean, VT Editor

Exile ... BBC Jazz Album of the Year - 2003

Our own staff writer Gilad Atzmon is on tour here in the States through March 16th. Check the tour link to see if you can catch an event.

And yes, he does mix sax and business as his trip is a book promotion tour for The Wandering Who?

The Hebrew Klan does not like Rebel Jews who refuse to wear the robes and hats and participate in their midnight rides to put the fear in folks via their own brand of lynching.

They tried to intimidate his publisher, then the book’s distributor, and then of course get his music gigs cancelled. But all this was to no avail.

Like the Klu Klux Klan who held sway in parts of the States for a while, the public is catching onto and rejecting the Whoish Lobby brutal tactics.

And by public I include all the righteous Jews who are repulsed by them.

Those of us who have been in the social justice battles for many years know that there are many in the Jewish community who talk the talk but won’t do the walk. They love victimhood when the spotlight is on them but then want a free pass when they are dishing it out. There is a disconnect taking place somewhere between.

Is the Angry Arab an Anti-Racist Racist?

 Deliberation's Editor

http://www.deliberation.info/

We have noticed that As’ad Abu Khalil AKA Angry Arab is critical of our writer Gilad Atzmon whom he labels as an anti Semite and a racist.

Angry Abu Khalil failed to substantiate his accusations against Atzmon. Needless to say we also have never found a single anti-semitic or racist argument or statement in Atzmon’s writings.”

antiracist_racistIn the last few days, to our great surprise, we became aware that Angry Abu Khalil is constantly engaged in racially driven theories and his terminology is openly racist. Khalil refers to and interprets people according to the colors of their skin. He is clearly obsessed with White Men and White Europeans . The Angry Abu Khalil web site is saturated with racist remarks and biologically determinist statements. For instance in his blog post  White Man and Paul Newman  Angry Abu Khalil writes “the White Man  is not a racial category–or it is not merely a racial category but also a political and epistemological category.” Not only Angry Arab agrees that ‘White Man’ is partially a racial category, he even goes as far as  linking skin color with political stand  and epistemology. The meaning of it is clear. Angry Arab is a racist  and a biological determinist.   It is more than likely that when Abu Khalil accuses Atzmon for being a ‘racist’ he actually projects from within himself.

For some peculiar reason Angry Abu Khalil portrays himself as an anti-racist. The truth of the matter is more unfortunate. Like his Anti Zionist Zionists (AZZ) allies, Angry Arab is an Anti-Racist Racist (ARR). It is far from surprising that like his Marxist Jewish allies, Abu Khalil was critical of Mearsheimer’s and Walt’s study of the Israeli Lobby. ARR Abu Khalil is basically a racist Zionist collaborator. He is a Sabbath Goy.

The following is an open letter to Angry Abu Khalil by Palestinian activist Sami Ibrahem.

Palestine solidarity movement on the defensive as AGM votes for zionist formulations

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign’s AGM last month resulted in what can only be described as a significant step back for the British anti-imperialist movement and a significant victory for zionism.

The meeting voted to endorse a paragraph that the PSC executive had recently added to the campaign website stating that “Any expression of racism or intolerance, or attempts to deny or minimise the Holocaust have no place in our movement. Such sentiments are abhorrent in their own right and can only detract from the building of a strong movement in support of the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people.” (My emphasis)

That is, they voted to give the PSC’s executive the ability to discipline and expel sincere and useful solidarity activists for committing a ‘crime’ that exists only in the zionist imagination – the crime of ‘minimising the holocaust’. And, whether they realised it or not, they simultaneously voted to endorse the zionist conflation of two terms that have no actual connection: racism and holocaust denial/‘holocaust minimising’.

Not that this is all that surprising in a country where ordinary people are so totally saturated with and generally accepting of imperialist propaganda. Even the fact that the PSC statement referred simply to ‘the holocaust’ rather than ‘the jewish holocaust’ shows how in thrall its writers are to the prevailing imperialist and zionist rhetoric, even if only subconsciously.

We are all ‘holocaust minimisers’

Speaking for the CPGB-ML, I proposed an amendment to the executive’s motion on anti-semitism that asked the campaign to keep to its primary focus of carrying out “effective work in solidarity with Palestine, against zionism and imperialism”. During my speech from the floor I emphasised the point that the more effective and influential the Palestine solidarity movement becomes, the more vociferously it can expect to be attacked by Israel’s supporters – which inevitably means being accused of ‘anti-semitism’ by hysterical zionist campaigners.

The Atzmon Defamation League (ADL)

By Gilad Atzmon

Atzmon_defamation_League

At the bottom of that page you will find the current and most updated list of individuals who believe that the Palestinian solidarity movement should operate as a Stalinist synagogue.  The Atzmon Defamation League is a list of a few Tribal Marxists and one angry Arab collaborator who added their name to an open declaration. They all agree that Atzmon should be silenced.

Amidst the success of my latest book The Wandering Who and my current USA coast to coast tour, the Atzmon Defamation league is in a state of a panic. They have a good reason: my very simple message spreads very fast, and it questions — If Israel defines itself as the Jewish State and its tanks are decorated with Jewish symbols, then aren’t we entitled to ask who are the Jews? What is Judaism? What is Jewishness? And what are the relationships between those three?

So far, my American tour seems to progress very well. My very experienced tour manager insists that it is actually a breakthrough. In spite of the Zionist and the Anti Zionist Zionists’ (AZZ) relentless campaign against me, I give a talk every night, I give three to five interviews a day (radio and TV), I meet the most wonderful people on this planet, I speak about Jazz, Jewishness and apartheid, and I explore the true meaning of the Jewish State and its lobbies around the world.

Concert is a mix of jazz and politics-Campus Time, University of La Verne

Israeli-born Gilad Atzmon, a political activist known for his views on Israel and Palestine, played a jazz concert on Tuesday in Morgan Auditorium. Jazz musician and writer Gilad Atzmon played an energetic and exciting concert in Tuesday night’s performance in Morgan Auditorium.

The night started off with an introduction by professor of English William Cook where he described Atzmon as a rare person whose mind never stops working, along with reading an excerpt from Atzmon’s most recent book “The Wandering Who.”

As Atzmon walked on stage to greet the audience he began by giving a small description of his Middle Eastern inspired music.

He then followed it with a small demonstration of what the difference is between the styles and types of jazz.

“When it comes to Arabic on a saxophone it is basically a nightmare, the notes linger on for days just oscillating,” Atzmon said.

Atzmon said he fell in love with the sound of jazz at age 17 and believed he would be able to attract girls’ attention with his sax.

Since Atzmon could not read music he took up the saxophone because he said it is an instrument that is more about feeling the music rather than reading it.

“The biggest problem we have in our liberal technological society is that we are not listening, we are deaf to the pain of other people,” Atzmon said.

The Angry (Arab) Collaborator

As’ad AbuKhalil aka the Angry Arab @angryarabnews

As’ad AbuKhalil has now completed his transformation into a honorary Sabbath Goy. [1]

The ‘angry’ man has finally joined the Anti Zionist Zionists (AZZ) and like his Jewish Marxists allies, he insists upon my rejection from the Palestinian solidarity movement. For him, I am not Kosher enough.

I must say though that judging by the level of circulation of my writing and my latest book The Wandering Who, it seems as if my views are actually far more popular than angry AbuKalil and his AZZ comrades put together. Also my current coast to coast American tour is supported by the leading Palestinian solidarity organisations in this country such as The Washington Report, The Global March to Jerusalem, One Democratic State (Texas), Students for Justice in Palestine, Deir Yassin Remembered and many more.

As if this is not enough, my latest book is endorsed by the greatest intellectuals and humanist in this movement, isn’t this enough to make me into a kosher candidate? And if not what else do I need to prove my? Do I also need a Jewish Marxist Advocate?

Talk review by Tom Mayer

GA: An interesting review of my yesterday's talk at CU Bouldr. Tom Mayer offers an interpretation of my work from an American Jewish secular perspective.

Tom Mayer's comment:
The talk by ex-Israeli jazz musician and cultural critic Gilad Atzmon was ewas highly biographical, punctuated by brief saxophone solos, and not particularly systematic.  Gilad's talk was, however, studded with telling if controversial insights about Israel and Jews.

Gilad has been accused by some of antisemitism, and listening to his talk I tried to divine why such charges might be made.  Of course I am entirely aware of the cynical and dishonest use of antisemitism accusations to discredit critics of Israeli oppression.  Indeed, I have often been accused of being a self-hating Jew.

Gilad strongly criticizes Jewishness and the Jewish state.  His criticism, however, does not derive from hatred for Jews or a desire to end Jewish presence in the Middle East.  His criticism is rather a lament for deep self-destructiveness that he detects in Jewish and Israeli culture, and a forlorn effort to stimulate change before catastrophe strikes.

Silvia Cattori: Gilad Atzmon answer to his AZZ detractors

Last October I learned from the Jerusalem Post [1] that notorious Zionist Alan Dershowitz and the dubious ADL’s Abe Foxman were desperate to stop my new book “The Wandering Who”. [2]

I was also informed about a very similar attempt in France. Two alleged Jewish ‘anti’ Zionist organizations- the U.J.F.P. (French Jewish Union for Peace) and I.J.A.N. (International Jewish Antizionist Network) mounted substantial pressure on a pro Palestinian website because he dared to publish my interview [3] with Silvia Cattori.

Interestingly enough, Zionist Dershowitz and Foxman used exactly the same tactics as the alleged ‘anti’ Zionist U.J.F.P. and I.J.A.N. They defamed, spread lies and circulated unsubstantiated accusations.

Clearly, this can be easily explained, Zionists Dershowitz, Foxman, U.J.F.P. and I.J.A.N. are basically one. At least from a Jewish political perspective, there is not much difference between rabid Zionists and some Jewish ‘anti’ Zionists. They may disagree on some minor topics but they certainly agree on the most fundamental issues- they all identify politically as Jews.

Like the Jews only state, both Zionist and Jewish ‘anti’ Zionists operate under a Jewish banner. This is why more and more of us regard some elements within the Jewish ‘anti’ Zionists as AZZ (anti Zionist Zionists).

My book, “The Wandering Who”, elaborates on this unique continuum between rabid Zionist Dershowitz and the AZZ. Judging by the level of hysteria performed by both Zionists, U.J.F.P and I.J.A.N, we are entitled to assume that the book has managed to hit the most sensitive nerve exactly where it hurts.

So far the book has been endorsed by the most distinguished academics, writers and humanists in our movement [4]. It has been praised on every dissident outlet around the world.

It is also obvious to every person who reads me that there is not a drop of racism, bigotry or anti Semitism in my writing. In my entire career as a writer, I have never criticized Jews as people, ethnicity or race. I also do not criticise Judaism. But, I do allow myself to scrutinize Jewish ideology and culture. I argue that if Israel defines itself as the ‘Jewish State’ and it drops bombs on civilians from airplanes decorated with Jewish symbols, it is our moral duty to question what ‘Jewishness’ is all about.

Ezra MacVie The Wandering Who: A Study of Jewish Identity Politics-Book Review

The Wandering Who by Gilad Atzmon

In a way, this latest book by Israeli-British saxophonist-commentator Gilad Atzmon is a case study. It is a study of the situation of mastery by a Zionist cabal over the foreign policies of the United States and the United Kingdom and of the critical centers of public opinion that guide these policies. What makes this subject a case is the broader conception of Jewish-led enterprises as a sort of evolved parasite first infesting, then controlling institutions and structures of human organization generally, going back to hosts as ancient as the Roman Empire. Whenever and wherever systems of human order and power have developed to a scale that justifies the effort, strategic networks organized and staffed largely by Jews have sprung up to move matters in the directions that favor them (the major exceptions to date seemingly confined to East Asia). This applies not only to empires and republics, but to dictatorships, kingdoms, professions, labor unions, media, banks, and supra-national organizations—wherever power of any sort intersects organization of any kind.

The case Atzmon delineates in 202 trenchant, eminently readable pages is a beast in whose belly—Israel—he was born and raised, up to and including a stint in the vaunted Israeli Defense Forces, in which the future saxophonist’s billet was in a military band that he reports played as badly as possible in order to keep its future workload to a minimum. But Atzmon’s experiences were not limited to blowing the horns such as those with which his ancient forebears reduced the walls of Jericho. He also witnesses numerous cases, described in this book, of cruelty and murder visited by his comrades-in-arms on their hapless opponents, the natives of the Palestine that Israel is relentlessly swallowing up in the finest traditions of the ancient Roman and all succeeding empires.

Two People, One Hummus

By Gilad Atzmon

A talk given in Toronto at The Islamic Society of York, Canada 24.2.12

I was asked to talk to you today about the on-going dispute within our ranks between those who support the One State Solution for the Israeli Palestinian conflict, and those who advocate Two States for the two people.

Interestingly enough, this is a topic I hardly comment on, and not because I am short of vision, opinion or ideas, but rather because I do believe that the fate of the people in Palestine and Israel should be decided by the Israelis and the Palestinians themselves. I, for instance, fail to see what qualifies a NYC Jewish academic or activist to determine how people should live in Palestine or anywhere else. Furthermore, I have never seen a Palestinian trying to advise Western solidarity activists how to run their life. I argue then, that our ‘interventionist’ enthusiasm to preach to others on how they should live is actually slightly pretentious.

But the subject is obviously deeper: in spite of the fact Israel is an organic sovereign State -- it is already recognised as a one State by the nations, it has a single sewage system, one electric grid, one pre-dial international code -- many Western world leaders insist that it should actually be divided into two. But don’t you think that it is pretty unusual for the ‘international community’ to blindly follow the Zionist ideology and draw a racially inspired line between the two people on the land?

So, rather than entering an endless and futile debate here, I propose that we should begin from a point at which we all agree: I presume that we all accept that Israel is currently a one State, yet it is dominated politically and spiritually by an ethnocentric discriminatory political system.

Israel defines itself as the Jewish State and the practical meaning of it is pretty devastating. It is racially driven. Israeli laws favour the Jewish population over the indigenous people of the land. Israel is impervious to universal and ethical thoughts. It is basically set to serve one tribe at the expense of the people of the land.

Dershowitz employs new and comical tactic.

By Nicholas Urie

http://www.nicholasurie.com

(Reminder: I’m commenting on this not a a member of the Friends family, but as someone who arranged the music for the concert, which was awesome. I am really proud of the band’s excellent hard work, Gilad’s wonderful playing, and the audience, who made the show feel electric. You can see the concert footage here: http://www.nicholasurie.com/news/?p=693)

I have to comment on Alan Dershowitz’s new epic from today’s Jerusalem Post, Friends Seminary plays bait, switch on anti-Semitism. In the article, Dershowitz continues his campaign of bullying and misinformation reaching new and even more spectacular heights. In my last two responses to the Friends-Dershowitz saga,Alan Dershowitz, neo-McCarthyite,” and, Wall St. Journal Ignores Dershowitz’s History of Attacks in, “School Hits Sour Note.” I laid out some of the tactics employed by Mr. Dershowitz in his effort to smear Friends Seminary and its faculty, staff, students and parents.

Mr. Dershowitz has taken his McCarthyist shenanigans to a new level, with the manufacturing of “evidence” from whole cloth in an effort to add pressure to a situation that was clearly winding down. Until this point, his tactic had been simply to distort things so heavily that they were almost unrecognizable to anyone actually involved. By knocking the corners off of what was real, he was able to stir a tremendous amount controversy, knowing that people are often gullible to the brand of manipulation that mixes falsehoods with truth. As Mr. Dershowitz has discovered, these tactics will only take you so far. People start to see through manipulations of this kind, as Bo Lauder, the Principal of Friends Seminary has done, evidenced by his rescinding Mr. Dershowitz’s invitation to the school.

Zionist Immoral Intervention

Alan Dershowitz

Alan Dershowitz - Zionut extrordinaire

Alan Dershowitz is whining again, this time on the pages of the Jerusalem Post.   Apparently The Friends Seminary of New York which assigned its students to read my papers and invited me to attend a class,  has made it clear to Israeli ethnic cleanser apologist that he was not welcome in its premises.

Dershowitz Admits Defeat

In short, Dershowitz admits total defeat. The Quaker school that was “unwilling to cancel Atzmon’s appearance” made it clear to the Zionist supremacist that he was unwelcomed.

This is not the first time Dershowitz is hurt by me being welcomed while he is spitted out. Yet, I am puzzled by the fact that Dershowitz is so keen to share his humiliation with the public. Normal people tend to hide such an embarrassing developments.  Dershowitz may have well developed a close affinity to himself being a victim. This tendency is indeed symptomatic within the Jewish identity discourse and Jewish culture. It is there to stop self-reflection.  Rather than looking in the mirror Dershowitz celebrates self-pity hoping to buy some empathy amongst his supportive Jewish crowd. It reminds me an old Jewish joke. Why don’t Jews drink? Because it numbs the pain. Dershowitz, is not going to hide or let the pain fade, he would actually make it into his flag.
