Athens and Jerusalem - Gilad Atzmon at Reading International Festival (video)

In this talk (22.10.2017), Gilad Atzmon delves into the crucial dichotomy between Athens and Jerusalem. Atzmon argues that the dystopia in which we live is the direct outcome of a Jerusalemite set of 'correct ideas' over the Athenian search for reason, essence and logos. Tyranny of correctness, Identitarian divisiveness, the battle against historicity are symptoms of Jerusalemite thinking, they did little but derail the Western ethos. To rescue ourselves and what we believe to be our civilisation, Athens must be reinstated.

Wannabe MP Rachel Eden and the Zombie Alliance

I was invited to speak about my new book Being in Time - A Post Political Manifesto at Reading International Festival on October 22 2017. Zionist organisations were outraged. Like that version it's given a slow ballad treatment with Atzmon on sultry tenor augmented by the string quartet.

An incredible Review by Music From The Other Side of the Room

I’ve been an admirer of Coltrane’s music since re-discovering his work when I was in College twelve years ago, and with The Spirit of Trane, it’s one of the most emotional, beautiful, and touching tributes to the master that Gilad and the Orient House ensemble brings here. As he once said again about music, “I think music is an instrument. It can create the initial thought patterns that can change the thinking of people.
